Selling my beloved Conrad Johnson Premier 140 amplifier. This amplifier presents as new. I cannot see any flaws and it functions perfectly. This was Conrad Johnson’s reference stereo amplifier when new. It offers 140 watts per channel of pure tube power from four Sovtek 6550 output tubes per channel (eight total), purchased new from Tube Depot. Note: pictured tubes are KT120s that do not come with the amplifier. Input tubes are two Sovtek 6N30s and one ElectroHarmonix 6922. This forest of tubes casts a beautiful warm glow when listening. I purchased this amplifier from the original owner two years ago, who took it home, put it in his rack, and left it there until he sold it to me. This amplifier received a rave review from SoundStage! when released: http://www.soundstagenetwork.com/revequip/conradjohnson_premier140.htm It has always been in a non-smoking pet free environment. Comes with tube cage, power cord, biasing tool, and original bound manual, all in the original bullet-proof factory packaging.

If you meet my asking price, I will throw in some very special input tubes. Two super rare Reflector 6H30P-DRs from the pre-Gorbachev Soviet Union in their original boxes, ultra premium tubes built for the Soviet space program and the holy grail of tubes of this type. And one Amperex PQ E188CC/7308 (ultra premium quality 6922 type), one of the best 6922s ever made. These were made for Dario MiniWatt and have that label, but the glass is etched with the Amperex Holland manufacturing details as verified by my seller Brent Jessee. I paid $190 for the Amperex and $390 for the pair of Reflectors. That is $580 worth of tubes—IF you could even find the Reflectors!

The amplifier sounds wonderful with the stock tubes, but the premium NOS input tubes make it sound magical. I was stunned by the improvement these tubes made to an already superb amplifier. I am selling only because I have moved way up the Conrad Johnson line.
