Lightly used in a nonsmoking, no children, and no pets home. This Conrad-Johnson Preamp has all of the characteristics associated with the Premier 16LS. I’m including two sets of tubes the Tektronix 9M SEL 6 DJ8 (set of 7) and the Slovakia made E88CC 6922 (set of 6) In excellent condition. I rate it as a 7/10 for the small nick and small scratch (see photos) and it’s age. Shipped with the manual and remote in its original box.

The Conrad-Johnson Premier 16LS created not only a palpability of soundstage in our listening room, but a palpability of life in which I luxuriated. Ahhh...the openness, the ease, the accessibility were so fine that it made me wonder why it can't always be like this.
Very highly recommended.
Description: Single-chassis, remote-controlled, tubed line-stage preamplifier. Tube complement: six 6922 dual-triodes. Inputs: five unbalanced (RCA), two processor loops. Outputs: two unbalanced (RCA) plus processor loops (RCA). Frequency response: 2Hz->100kHz. Gain: 26dB. Maximum output: 15V. Distortion (THD or IMD): <0.25% at 1.0V output. S/N ratio: hum and noise, 96dB below 1.0V. Output impedance: 700 ohms. Polarity: inverts phase of all inputs at main outputs.
Dimensions: 19" W by 3.5" H by 15.75" D. Weight: 25 lbs.

| Good morning, In your photo, it looks as if the tube cage is warped. Is that correct? Also, does the unit come with a powercord? Thanks, Frederick No the tube cage if straight and fine. You might be able to see that in the shot with it removed from the preamp. I think the distortion is do to the lens I had on the camera, and yes it comes with a cord I just failed to take a shot of it. |
