I'm selling my pair of Meze Empyreans which I've had for about 10 months; great sounding headphones, but I've just accumulated too many headphones and am keeping my Utopias. After a slight accident, there is a small indentation on the back of one of the earcups; I've shown this in the photos. It does not affect the sound at all. It comes with the regular and the alcantra earpads, 1/4" plug cable, XLR cable, instructions, and the briefcase that it all comes in (I'm counting that as 'original box'). Everything is is great shape except for that one slight indentation, which is why I'm rating this as 7/10 and pricing accordingly...

Questions for the seller
Sorry if I'm getting annoying, I've been getting bent over finding an upgrade over my HD600. How would you compare the sound stage, and was listening fatigue an issue?
Hi John - No worries, not annoying! Again, I've not listened to the HD600, only the 800s. Nothing has got the sound stage and separation of the 800s; it's just a matter of whether you're willing to sacrifice bass and heft for it. I only get 'listening fatigue' if the headphones are not comfortable, and the Empyreans are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn.
Have you used/owned an HD600 or it's variants before, and how would you compare them?
I've used 800S, and they couldn't be more different - 800S has almost no bass, really, and is light and airy, and Empyrean, in my opinion, has much more of a dark, bassy-sound; those will rattle yer skull....
