Great preamp for a starter/budget system. This preamp
was designed by Nelson Pass of Threshold Audio. Forté Audio was the
"budget" line of parent company. This preamp has a separate out
board power supply and RCA tiffany plated connectors. This is a Pure Class A
Dual Channel PreAmp, with the build standard that has become the Nelson Pass
trademark over the years.
If you have an analog system, this phono section is one of the best around. It allows the use of both MM, MC andLOMC cartridges with three different selectable gains (40, 50, or 60dB). The loading and capacitance are selectable also (47K, 100, or 47Ohms) (100, 200, 300, or 400 pF). If you don't need a preamp but need aphono amp, this is an excellent alternative. Input impedance is 25,000Ohms and output impedance is 470 Ohms.
Great condition and I am the second owner. NO marks on the faceplate (anything you see in the photos is dust). These typically go for $600 or more in this or even worse condition. Grab this one now for $500 obo.
