Mark Levinson 585.5

Up for sale is a "like new" Mark Levinson 585.5 Integrated Amplifier with Pure Class A Phono Stage Module . . . The unit is just over a year old with very low hours and currently resides in my secondary system. Heralded as one of the finest integrated amplifiers ever made it has received countless accolades and numerous "best in class" awards by the reviewing press and informed audiophiles. Conservatively rated at 200W per channel it drives my Wilson Audio Alexa 2's and Sabrinas with relative ease, great pace, a wide and immersive sound stage and tight and highly defined bass. While the onboard DAC does a great job, the real gem in its design architecture is the phenomenal phono stage! It's the same pure Class A phono stage found in their No 523 and 526 price no object preamplifiers. The phono stage incorporates a fixed gain MM section and a highly sophisticated moving coil section with (3) gain settings and (10) cartridge loading settings all accessible via the front panel and easy to use updated remote. To get the same same type of individual component performance and feature set you would need to spend 3-4 times the original price of the 585.5. The unit ships with all original packaging, owner's manual, installation gloves and aluminum remote.
