For sale is a pair of DeVore Fidelity Gibbon X speakers S/N: X0510025 in very good condition. They were purchased in 5/7/2016 from the original owner in a pet free smoke free home. Class ’A’ rated by Stereophile magazine, the Gibbon X has won numerous awards from the audio press: “The X’s dynamics could literally startle. The X also demonstrated startling realism well beyond what my Nines, for all their musicality, are capable of—indeed, at certain moments with very good recordings, beyond what I’d previously experienced in my home.
DeVore speakers have always imaged well, but the Xes imaged better than other DeVores I’ve heard, and exceptionally well in absolute terms. Musical images floated free of the enclosures with great stability and corporeality.
DeVore Fidelity’s Gibbon X is, to me, a Class A performer—highly recommended.”
- Jim Austin, Stereophile “I think this new Weapon X from the Monkeyhaus up in Brooklyn, NY, is a show-stopper. Played at volume, it’s literally a stunner. The Gibbon X is room filling, precise, and gloriously immersive in its presentation. So, no, the Gibbon X is not cheap, but finding a better performing speaker at this price or lower? Yeah. Good luck. As for us, we’re giving it an Editor’s Choice. And this pair of Gibbons is staying here.”
- Scott Hull, Parttime Audiophile “For those of you who love the sound of big reference speakers, the Xs are probably the best value you will find in high-end speakers, especially if you are looking for a speaker under $100K with a neutral sound, real-life frequency extension, and incredible dynamics. Before you spend more, you should give the Xs a serious listen.” - Jack Roberts, The Audio Beatnik There are 4 blemishes on the  finish which occurred during a move, none of which penetrate the veneer.  All are documented in the images:  On the left side of speaker ’A’ there is a 1/16" ding 4 1/2" from the back and 6 3/4" from the top. On the right side of speaker ’A’ there is a 1/8" ding 8" from the front and 6 1/2" from the bottom.
On the left side of speaker ’B’ there is a 1/16" x 3/16" scratch 4 1/2" from the back and 2" from the bottom.
On the right side of speaker ’B’ there is a 1/16" ding 1" from the front and 1" from the top. The speakers include the original shipping cartons, manual, and custom solid brass cones and support discs finished in black to match the baffle.
