The PS Audio Power Plant Premier does one thing and it does it very well. It delivers 1500 watts of very pure, clean AC power. Something your AC line cannot do without it. Made a big difference for my system when I bought it new. Has 3 zones to isolate your components from each other. Great to separate digital and analog components. It shows you voltage in, voltage out, harmonic distortion of the original AC and the harmonic distortion of you new, cleaned up AC. Since it has a remote it can be set up on a universal remote, which I recommend. That way it’s only on when you’re listening or watching.
Reviewers: “In the best of all possible worlds, AC supplied by wall receptacles would be a precise, unvarying 120V: a pure 60Hz sinewave with no distortion or other frequencies riding on it. Within the limit set by the circuit breaker, this flow of current would respond instantly to any demands placed on it by the electronic equipment plugged into the wall. We do not live in such a world. Here, AC voltage varies, sometimes enough to damage equipment, and the waveform is never a pure 60Hz sinewave. All power supplies of all audio components must deal with these realities, and to varying degrees, they do a reasonably good job of it. The vast majority of consumers are perfectly happy plugging their audio equipment into the wall, and except for occasional damage caused by voltage spikes and surges, that equipment generally works. It's only when you compare the sound of equipment supplied raw AC with their sound on a diet of regenerated AC that you realize that such a system can sound better: more like real music and less like an electronic reproduction of same. This is what the PS Audio Power Plant Premier delivers. I wouldn't want to be without it.” Robert Deutsch - Stereophile
“The PS Power Plant Premier does all it claims to do. A vast improvement on the original Power Plant P300, a single unit can regenerate sufficient power for all but the most current-guzzling amplifiers. It also does so without grossly inflating your electric bill or toasting your room. Those who think power conditioning and power regeneration units are frill tweaks will have to perform a major mindset adjustment after hearing the Power Plant Premier. It will transform the sound of your audio system, and vastly improve the color and clarity of visuals. What the Power Plant Premier does for bass alone will convince the majority of Secrets readers to give it a serious audition. That, and the under $2000 price, warrant a strong recommendation.” Jason V. Serinus - Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity
