Awesome Nola Baby Grand Reference Gold speakers, in beautiful Rosewood and in excellent condition. Anyone who is familiar with Nola, knows that the entire line of speakers is wonderful. I've heard speakers from most of the big boys, and would purchase a Nola speaker over any other speaker at every price point. That's why I currently have a pair of Alon I's, Alon II's, Alon Lotus SE Mark III's, Alon V's, Alon Circes, two pairs of Alon Petites, Nola Viper References, Nola Viper Reference IIIA's, Nola Baby Grand Reference Golds, and Nola Concert Grand Reference Golds. Throw in three Thunderbolt subs, an Alon PW-1 sub, and four center channels speakers, and that about rounds out the collection. I've even had a pair of Nola Metros, a pair of Nola Viper References, two pairs of Viper IIA's, and a pair of Alon Lotus SE Signatures pried from my ownership. I'm kind of an avid Alon/Nola speaker collector. The other big boys might advertise more, get more hype and more press, but they sure don't make better speakers. The Alon/Nola fraternity of speaker owners knows this.
Anyhow, the latest model of this speaker is a Gold 2, and retails for $150K. I spoke with Carl about pricing these speakers and he thought they should sell for around $38K, so the price I and the other gentleman selling the black pair am asking is reasonable. You just have to ask yourself, do I want black, or do I want Rosewood? You have two great choices right now. I don’t think you will find a better sounding speaker, new or used, at this price.
Thanks for looking and feel free to come to eastern Ohio and listen to these, or any other Alon, Nola speakers that I have that you would like to hear.
By the way, I will try to get better pics soon. Most of the pics are from the owner I purchased them from. I just don’t have any really good pics, but I can assure you, they are beautiful and in excellent condition.
I do have the original wooden crates and the flight cases for the bases, so I could ship. I would also be willing to drive a crazy distance to deliver these, if that would help them get to their destination safer.
