Note: This was our only Demo unit for the famed Bakoon Amp-13R. Used off and on for about 9 months and never left our listening space. This is a Current-Driven amplifier, which means it can drive the most difficult loads with authority, as long as 25 watts per channel can generate sufficient volume from your speakers. We used it with a pair of 88dB Voce Audio Duos and turned it up to about 50%. Condition is Like-New and these units sound amazing.

The Japanese have a meticulous drive for sonic perfection and the Korean manufacture is some of the finest quality in the world. The AMP-13R is Bakoon’s follow-up to the Legendary 12R (and 11R), which went out of production about 3 years ago. This unit features a 25-watt integrated amplifier, headphone amplifier, and remote volume control.

These are Current-Driven amplifiers, which means the 13R can drive just about any speaker (impedance) load with authority, as long as it can create enough volume. 88dB sensitivity can generate more than enough loudness in a regular-size room (14 x 16 Ft).

SET Sound with Solid State Performance...6Moons described the Bakoon sound, "like listening inside a space capsule." Imagine late-night, low-volume listening sessions, with the most inner recesses of the music lit up...that’s the Bakoon sound.

Upon its release, the Bakoon Amp-13 immediately received the Blue Moon Award from 6Moons and the Victor Award from HiFiKnights.

"This €6’000 miniature won two awards, one from us, one from regularly syndicating HifiKnights in Poland. At 25/50wpc into 8/4Ohm, it’s no power broker. But if it’s the most sophisticated solid-state sound you’re after, for speakers and headphones alike including inefficiency bastards like HifiMan’s Susvara, Bakoon’s smallest and first amp with their novel Jet Satri circuit is the best I’ve heard all year; and the best amp we own.
