I am selling my almost like new Chord Qutest DAC.

The only reason I am selling is because I am upgrading to the Hugo TT2 model and no longer need this item any more. Having said that, it served me very well in the last two years.

I can describe the sound as sweet and detailed without the normal listening fatigue. The high frequency is very extended and airy. The mid is full and a little bit forward (just ever so slightly). The bass has a lot of meat in the bone with a very tasteful texture and nuance.

What separate this Qutest from a lot of DACs from China and Korea are the level of musicality and a spacious sound staging. If you use a lot of DACs from China, for example: SMSL, Topping, ... you will notice that the Qutest is very musical comparing to the Chinese DACs. The soundstage of the Qutest is also more spacious and more holographic, the background is blacker (which mean the instruments are more defined in space), and the mid-range tend to be a little bit more forward. Most DAC around this price tends to have a V-shape curve (boosted treble and bass) which tend to give you listening fatigue; not with the Qutest!!! it does not have the V-shape curve. If you still want to enjoy extreme titled high frequency though, there is a "filter" you can use to boost the treble definition. I used boosted treble filter sometime when I listened at low volume.

I really enjoy this DAC, it completely overshadow any DAC around its price range.  I am selling this DAC so that other people can enjoy this wonderful product.
