Bose 901 Series II, Restored w/Audiophile Equalizer Upgrades - FREE Delivery 100 miles of 22046

2nd owner of this pair of Series II 901s. When set up properly,
with newly refurbished equalizer and quality amplification and source
components, you’ll hear why TONE Audio Magazine said, “The essentially crossover-less design
gives the 901 an unmistakable coherence, the model’s greatest strength. It’s
incredibly wide dispersion comes in a close second. The Bose 901s sound great
anywhere in the room, and what you might give up in terms of ultra-focused,
sweet-spot listening, you’ll gain in spades when you have a room full of
people. These could very well be one of the world’s three or four best party
speakers.”

 What's great about
this pair?

• These speakers have the superior (to the later
  models) CTS/Norelco-type fabric-edge metal-basket drivers, which had flatter
  response than the later ones... and NEVER need re-foaming
• The equalizer was updated by DHS Speaker Service
  (including upgrades to Ultra-Premium, Audiophile Grade, Elna® Silmic II,
  High-End, Silk Fiber Aluminum Electrolytic capacitors, the mylar input coupling
  and signal path capacitors were replaced with Premium Metalized
  Polypropylene Capacitors, the Output Coupling, Electrolytic Capacitors
  can were replaced with Premium Metalized Polypropylene Capacitors
  AND 6 additional film capacitors in the High Frequency Audio Section
  were replaced with Premium Metalized Polypropylene Capacitors. Altogether
  25 capacitors were replaced with upgraded components AND YOU CAN HEAR THE
  DIFFERENCE. Detail, imaging, and clarity are jaw dropping. Bass response is gut
  punching, but never flabby
• The walnut veneer tops and bottoms were sanded,
  restained and sealed with Watco Danish Oil finish. Cloth grilles are original.
  Original speaker labels in place.
• This pair of speakers did not come with stands,
  so I built replicas of original tulip stands. Wooden, they measure 20 inches
  high, 11 3/4" speaker base, 15" floor base. Original metal tulip base
  stands available on internet about $175
