Signet TK-5Ea with original stylus plus NOS replacement stylus [Expired]

no longer for sale

I have too much stuff. It's time for someone else to enjoy some really nice things...This one is a Signet TK-5Ea from 1981. The Signet line was AT's "upscale" brand, and though cloaked in different skins, the inner workings are shared. Dual magnet MM cartridge with the following great specs:
Frequency Response: 10-30,000 Hz Output 5.0 mv @5 cm/sec Balance/Separation 0.75/29 dB @1 kHz Tracking Force 3/4 - 1 3/4 grams .2 x .7-mil nude square shank elliptical stylus Tapered aluminum cantilever Unicore coils
Warmer than the typical AT, this cartridge envelopes one with full sound without fatiguing or shrill high frequencies, and a bass that is clean and quick. There's not much on-line about these cartridges, but almost all of the commentary is positive. Worked great for me with a Denon DA-50 (*sold*), but would be a nice match with low- to medium-mass arms. A great way to discover the joys of a fine moving magnet cartridge.
This one has some mileage on it, but was well-treated. The original stylus looks good, but I can't tell if it is worn, or how many hours are left. The good news is that as an "a" series of Signet, it will actually take a number of AT styli, which are still available at LP Gear and others. But here's the great news: this one comes with an NOS Signet TKN-5Ea replacement stylus, which is basically unobtainium. The stylus alone was $249 a few years ago. Now you just can't find them at all. So this cartridge should go for a good long time yet!
I will sell only to US and Canadian buyers. Too many issues with fraudulent purchases from overseas has spoiled the international market for me. Sorry.
