Component History... 

I purchased this rare French Manufactured Amplifier this past year. As the photos will show this uniquely designed amplifier houses four separate power transformers. 

The Carin Name is well known & reviewed in the Audiophile Circles. The fit and finish & topography of this amplifier compares to the likes of the original Krell, Threshold & McIntosh Components. Attention to the electrical operational design is quite impressive...

 Cosmetically...

 The Carin KO2 is quite striking in its overall looks. Its very Modern Futuristic styling denotes clean lines within its low profile. It just has that very special look & feel of High End Audiophile Amplifiers costing up to three times as much...

I rate it 8/10 with a minor blemish or two .It sits on three attached attached feet that have female treaded bases so you can add the type of isolation supports to the amplifier bottom like "Stillpoints" & the likes, you would just have to match the male screw size if you choose...

Operationally...

During my Audio Journey, like many "Addicted Audiophiles", I have had countless component and system changes in search of the "Live,You Are  There Experience!"...

The Carin Ko2 Amplifier ranks among the best  Power Amplifiers I have owned. 

Upon my auditioning this strikingly beautiful Amplifier at the gentleman’s home from whom I purchased it, we listened to his system for two hours.        I was awestruck by its performance. He had the Ko2 paired to a pair of Dynaudio Bookshelf speakers this combination was breathtaking. 

I have had the Ko2 with various  Audiophile Preamplifiers & Speaker setups; its portrayal of the music with this Amplifier compares to having your car expertly detailed. You get that special feeling, like you did when you first sat in the drivers seat !  Upon hearing this French Made Audiophile Amplifier I had such a feeling...

In every range of the sound spectrum this amplifier brought a new sense of  insight and "Emotional Feel" of any music  genre played through my System. Having paired the amp with an AudioValve Eklipse Tube Preamp with either the Prima Luna Prologue 8 Tube CD Player or the T+A Music Server its performance was jaw dropping. Even with Analog sources like my McIntosh MR-71 Tuner the Ko2’s audio pedigree was quite apparent. 

The Amplifier has Four Separate Power Supplies 2 per channel for a total of 1000va. As well it has a switch for Pure Class A or Class AB & a switch for Auto when it detects a signal.  It has both Balanced & RCA Inputs.

 This Class A amplifier doubles down in power from 100 wpc at 8 ohms to 200 wpc at 4 ohms, this is why the Bass - Low end performance has such depth.
