The Magneplanar Bass Panel (DWM) is a dipole, thin film, planar/magnetic bass panel. It is specifically designed to increase bass diaphragm area to fit the needs of your room.
I sold this speaker last year and the buyer reported that it had a rattle/screw loose, but the unit played well. Furthermore, the factory advised him that there was probably a loose screw from the network. However, he opted to return the bass panel.
The unit has less than 10 hours of playback and is under full factory warranty. If careful, one can remove the staples securing the grill media at the bass of the panel, slide the grill media upward, and re-secure the loose screw...or allow the factory to repair.
