A rare (probably, unique) opportunity to own a BRAND NEW (still factory sealed) CLEARAUDIO Insider Reference Wood. 

(I've marked it Mint instead of new to respect the Audiogon rating system to the letter - because the exterior fancy wooden container has been opened in order to take pictures.  But, rest assured the actual cartridge (and it's pyramid shaped plastic seal (see the pics for clarification) is still unopened and factory sealed).  The cartridge itself is Brand New, never opened, never handled, never installed.  It's probably the only one in the world in this actual new condition).

If you are looking at this ad you know how great this cartridge is. Many say it's the best. I can't say for sure, of course.  I haven't heard them all and there's a lot of personal preference that comes into play.  But, with that said, I've compared many of the top tier cartridges in various very revealing systems. This is my personal favorite. I think it's safe to say that it's definitely on a very short list for the title of THE best.

NOTE:  Here's a brief description of how this unique situation comes about - in anticipation of the "Why are you selling it" question.  I have two of this exact cartridge - the other one I am keeping and still happily use most every day.  I am a long-time audiophile.  When I acquired this cartridge I was so seriously into this high-end HiFi hobby that it had morphed into a side-line business for me whereby I ended up becoming the Canadian distributor for a few lines.  Back then I routinely ran two (or more) turntables in my evaluation system, so I bought two cartridges with the intention of being able to evaluate different turntable / arm combinations using the same cartridge.  However, I never actually got around to doing this exact evaluation,  Now, I am no longer (and haven't been for years) a distributor or dealer of any kind with no manufacturer's ties or warranties of any kind implied.  End result: I have this (probably) unique situation of a BRAND NEW factory-sealed cartridge available at a true bargain price that reflects this circumstance.
