Linkwitz Lab LXmini+2 kit

For your consideration is a kit to build the well regarded Linkwitz Lab LXmini + 2 speaker system.  The kit is as I recieved it from Madisound.  All parts are new and unused.  Included is the no longer available Emotiva UPA-500 amplifier which was originally recommended by the designer Sigfried Linkwitz. This amp is suitable for driving the completed LXmini speaker only. The included MiniDSP 2x4 HD will work as a cross-over only for the LXmini.  To utilize the woofer system (open baffle woofer) a different processor / cross over would be needed like the miniDSP 4x10 HD.  A miniDSP 2x4 HD is included however the miniDSP 4x10 HD is not.  The woofers and open baffle enclosure kit is included but to finish this as a complete LXmini + 2, a miniDSP 4x10 HD and a suitable stereo amp to drive the woofers would be needed.

All said, the parts provided will get the resourceful speaker builder most of the way there with the exceptions I noted above.  The retail cost for all the parts included comes to about $1700.

Additionally, two sections of PVC thick walled pipe would be needed as would other items (paint, adhesive, etc.) to complete the project.  It is recommened that the prospective purchaser consult the Linkwitz Lab internet site to learn more as required.
