Nakamichi MR-1

This is a rare (white dot) Nakamichi 3 head MR-1B IEC Standard Professional XLR in/output jacks with external noise reduction encoder/decoder input. Rare because its a limited model 1B and because its been very well cared for. It is in very good toward excellent cosmetic condition. There is are a couple minor thin scratches on the top cover only. The deck is in 100% excellent working order. Its recently had a full end to end service, clean and test by a certified tech and has all new belts. The recordings made and playback of this deck sound as phenomenal as when it was new! INCLUDED: the complete owners and service manual (45 pages total) the RM-200 wired remote in perfect mint working condition and in its original packaging. The advantage of the MR-1B over a standard MR-1 is record and playback equalization conforms to the IEC March 1981 equalization standards, unit is marked with a small white dot affixed to the bottom panel near the rear of the machine. The benefit and professional break through of this IEC version is that any tapes created with this machine sound great when played back in other various non-Nakamichi machines as well as Naks because it conforms to the industry equalization standard. Note: IEC stands for-International Elec-trotechnical Commission. This modication done to these few MR-1B's made tapes sound consistent across all decks they are played in Nak or otherwise.
