Component History...

I purchased these Italian Mono Amplifiers from the Original Owner less than a year ago.  We "Addicted AudioPhile" types tend to change our systems, which I am currently in the process of doing, hence my reason for parting with these Synthesis Amplifiers, quite reluctantly.

Founded by Luigi Lorenzon in 1992, (Synthesis Art in Music) this well regarded Italian Audio Inventor, whose exceptional aesthetics, constant technological research, and almost maniacal attention to detail, make every Synthesis Amplifier a unique component.

This is not surprising given that Luigi Lorenzon learned to make transformers in his youth from his father, a founding member of FASEL, created in 1961. Lorenzon the senior designed transformers for valve amplifiers, which rapidly became a reference point for the sector as a Manufacturer of output transformers, power transformers, and choke inductors for musical instruments.

He invented the output transformer model 3.370.063, which was produced for the EME Vox Company and used in the VOX AC30 Model which changed the sound of Rock Music forever...

As well, he invented the legendary red FASEL inductor which was produced for Dunlap for "The Cry Baby Wah-Wah" used by Jimi Hendrix among others, which till this day is used in Guitar pick-ups...

The Beatles used the VOX Speaker Head Amp combination as well as many other Musicians...

So combining his technical knowledge and love of music Luigi continued his Fathers Business to make a breakthrough by creating Synthesis Art in Music Components...

Cosmetically...

As the Photos show these Theatre Mono-Amplifiers are stunning in every way. Their singular Italian Design fit and finish is undeniable. With only a minor paint blemish all the tube cages ,chrome and parts are in "as new" condition.

Operationally...

These seventy wpc  (Pentode Mode) these EL-34 tube mono"s render the three regions of sound from the connected speakers in a 3D soundstage of depth and finesse, that rival tube amplifiers at three times the cost. No matter which pair of speakers I tried out in my systems containing The Threatres, they allowed all my speakers to portray their sound signature design that they were paired with.

I had them connected to the First Sound Presence MkIII Preamp as well as the Audio Valve Eklipse with speakers ranging from The Audio Pro Bravo FX-10 to Klipsch Heresy II, Quadral Aurum Altan VII , Sonus Faber Concerntino. These Italian Mono's sounded like they were voiced to be any of the aforementioned speaker pairs...

Technical Aspects: 

A High Power, low impedance,solid state rectification circuit followed by a massive pi network using the highest quality caps & custom made choke.  In the signal path are only high quality metalized polypropylene capacitors. In house manufactured large hand wound transformers are used.

All EL-34 power tubes are Low Hour New Electro-Harmonix. The 6922 signal tubes are New Low Hour RAM tubes...
