Based on the well regarded John Westlake-designed 8200CD and 8200CDQ – universally acclaimed for their superb sound quality and flexible facilities the 8300CDQ building upon its predecessors’ formidable reputation.

The 8300CDQ adds high-quality analogue preamp circuitry over the Audiolab 8300CD, making use of first-rate components to maintain signal purity. The physical layout of the 8300CDQ’s circuitry has been adapted to protect the preamp section from any noise interference.

The 32-bit ESS Sabre DAC incorporates HyperStream architecture and ESS Technology’s Time Domain Jitter Eliminator to deliver ultra-low noise and high dynamic range. Careful circuit layout and low-noise power supplies complement the DAC’s patented Sabre32 sample rate converter and clever DPLL (Digital Phase Locked Loop) circuit, radically reducing time domain errors from all digital input sources. Features 6 digital filters and time domain isolation.

The 8300CDQ's discrete analog class A preamp section (no op amps and 29 regulated supply rails including multiple ultra-low-noise regulators) ensures a top level output signal.

Essentially, you're getting Audiolabs well-regarded CD transport, the M-DAC+, and a class A preamp all in one chassis. Both RCA and XLR outs.

Only reason I am selling is because I have upgraded to a Gustard X26 Pro and a separate transport (an Audiolab 6000CDT). I really liked the 8300CDQ, but couldn't pass up moving to the dual-mono Gustard.
