Technics 1200G Fully modded Turntable

Here is my final development plinth for the new 1200 series Technics TT’s. Over three years of testing different materials and designs and I’m finally happy. A lot of what I learned from THE BEAT SE went into this puppy. The performance and sound are outstanding. And a great value IMO.
This unit has been used on and off over the last two years so it is used but never abused. Being a prototype, it has a few parts inside that are hand made instead of CNC’d but the sonic quality is 100% there. It is priced well below a new XX which will be $15k. This one has the real carbon fiber front panel and everything else like the thick aluminum chassis and internal damping capability that the production unit has.


It deserves a great tonearm and cartridge. You will be rewarded with world class sound.

This unit uses a 1200G motor which is designated by the "XX" logo. The "XX" should be my most popular unit. So close sound wise to the "XXX" (which uses the 1000R motor) I see no reason to spend the extra money. A big surprise but that’s what we hear.
