Mastersound Italy Dueventi S.E.

For sale is a used Mastersound Due Venti S.E. integrated amplifier.
This tube integrated amplifier is manufactured in Italy and runs in Class A Single Ended topology at 20 watts per channel. Current version of this amp sells for $3900.
The engineers who built this think that EL34 tubes deserve their own specific output transformers to sound best. So, you won’t have the chance to switch EL34 with KT88 or whatever other tubes (as we’re seeing more and more nowadays on many mainstream tube integrated), but you’ll hear EL34 as you never did before. This amplifier weighs 51 lbs. Check the other tube integrated weights (Primaluna Prologue Premium is 46 lbs). We all know where this extra weight goes and what benefits from it.
With a good pair of efficient speakers, this unit is simply magic (much closer to the sound of 300B’s than you’d expect). I’ve been driving Wilson Watt 3 Puppy 2 with it (91db sensitivity) with stunning results.
There are a few cosmetic marks on the amplifier, like one scratch on the top of the rectangular transformer cover and a small one on one of the mahogany wood side panels. Please check my pics for details. Of course, none of these affect sound but that’s why I rated it 7.
Please rest assured the amplifier does function as it should. The tubes are fresh with around 30 hours on them. They are Svetlana widget C and sound marvelous. Input tubes are GE NOS. This is Auto Bias, so unit is plug and play.
