For sale is a custom order SUPRATEK CORTESE tube preamplifier.
Phono input can accept MC cartridge without using external stage. It has selectable gain and impedance switches. The passive RIAA network consist of not only commonly used C and R but L (inductor) as well. It is not common that tube phono preamps can accept low level MC cartridge without using solid stage components.
The phono stage then feeds into another tube line stage using vintage tubes from the manufacturer. The preamp is very gentle on its components. It has never been repaired after 10+ years.
The power supply all consist of tube rectification and un-commonly used tube regulation for a clean power delivery. The power transformer used is a lot beefier than most tube power amp of any era.
All components are hand wired and point to point with no PCB inside both preamp and power supply.
The sound from the Cortese is big and effortless with retaining transparency through all frequency without sounding "electronic"
The preamp is currently wired for 220V but I can have it wired for 110V upon request before sending it out.
