The miniDSP UMIK-2 is an ultra high performance, second generation, omni-directional acoustic measurement microphone. The UMIK-2 offers all the features of the UMIK-1, including a convenient plug-and-play USB connection and a unique calibration file for each microphone to ensure accuracy.

The UMIK-2 offers a significant upgrade in performance and functionality. A larger ½” microphone capsule provides lower noise and lower distortion, preserved by the 32-bit ADC (analog-to-digital convertor) built into the microphone shell. Sample rates are selectable from 44.1 to 192kHz for compatibility with the widest possible range of measurement and recording software.

The UMIK-2 is fully compatible with REW (Room EQ Wizard) and Dirac Live ® (version 3.x). Driverless operation with MacOS, Linux, Android and iOS, and a supplied ASIO driver for Windows ensure simple integration into many other measurement and recording applications.

REW  miniDSP has partnered with John Mulcahy to develop even greater compatibility for the UMIK-2 inside REW. With the latest REW version (beta), the UMIK-2 is automatically recognized by the software and prompted for use when REW is started with the microphone plugged in.

Dirac Live  Dirac Live (version 3.x) also supports plug-and-play integration with the UMIK-2 for best measurement accuracy.

Warranty Terms

This product is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from invoice. Warranty does not cover failure of the product due to incorrect connection or installation, improper or undocumented use, unauthorized servicing, modification or alteration of the unit in any way, or any usage outside of that recommended in the product manual. The customer provides return shipping to Deer Creek Audio. Deer Creek Audio is an authorized miniDSP dealer.
