Aesthetix Romulus Eclipse DAC/Transport w/Volume Control

Apex Audio Denver has been an Aesthetix dealer since 1995 and is excited to offer you this as new Romulus Eclipse DAC/Transport (factory full Eclipse, not an upgrade) with the optional volume control board. It can either be used as a high output preamp to properly drive your amps directly or with an existing preamp by setting the output to unity gain. On the CD side, it features a great transport for playing back existing CD collection. On the DAC side, it accommodates all input formats (USB, COAX digital, AES/EBU, Toslink) and file types (PCM or DSD). This is the most current version and the Eclipse level which is their flagship digital offering. It is a fully balanced device. The numerous rave reviews of this unit speak volumes to the performance you should expect and it delivers well beyond its price point. Aesthetix also has a lone track record of keeping their products current with upgrades so you should not expect any planned obsolescence! Please note that there is another unit for sale on Audiogon with Eclipse capacitors. We sold that one new just under 10 years ago. That unit is just a standard Romulus with upgraded caps missing the DSP board of the Eclipse and a great many of the other upgrades that make an Eclipse what it is. It would take $3,500 to bring it to the level of this one.
