McIntosh’s MX-160 provides an elegant solution for home cinema connectivity, control and 11.1 channel decoding. Its supports Dolby ATMOS, TrueHD, AURO 3D, and DTS Master Audio surround modes in addition to all legacy modes and does it all in stunning 4K Ultra HD. In McIntosh style, it performs stunningly well and recreates movie soundtracks, with ’you-are-there’ realism.
The MX-160 is no glorified AV receiver. The MX160 has a surprisingly good balanced preamp section for 2 channel listening with a source direct mode, phono input and an excellent DAC for digital sources and streamers. We could go on and on about the features, network, and source connectivity, but we’ll leave them for you to discover.
This MX-160 is a single owner unit and is nearly flawless. Includes the original remote (in excellent condition), the full room correction mic set-up (new in the box), and power cord.
