Wavelength Audio Cardinal XS

Gordon Rankin built this amplifier specifically for Steve Guttenberg (THE AUDIOPHILLIAC).  The Circuit is the WE437A plated loaded cap coupled to the 300B in self bias mode, in a chassis of premium curly maple wood.

The Cardinal XS, is the premium edition of the "normal" Cardinal.  Its factory upgraded improvements include Siltech and Kimber silver internal wiring.  Custom Magnaquest transformers adorn the amplifiers.  The monoblocks put out 12.5 watts per channel, 5Hz - 35Khz +/- 3DB,  and Input Impedance is 47 KOhms.  The amplifiers sound and look beautiful and measure 8" H by 12" W by 14" D  Each weighs 39 lbs / 45 lbs boxed.

The amplifiers were fully serviced in 2022 by Robert Hovland, including bias adjustments, AC idle, and ensuring premium functionality of electronics, and they are performing flawlessly.  Bob also performed a curve trace on all the tubes to ensure they are of the best quality.

The sound quality of these amplifiers is the closest to hearing a live performance.  Superior dynamics, sound staging - depth, width and height, powerful, organic bass, liquid midrange and silky highs.  These amplifiers are amazing in their detail, immediacy and life-like presentation.

I am including a second, matched pair of 437A tubes as a reserve to the pair being used in the amplifiers.  That will add another 4,000 - 5,000 hours of listening!  I also added new TJ 300B tubes that are pictured in the amplifier - along with a pair of classic Mullard 5AR4 tubes.

These are my favorite amplifiers and I thought I would have them forever.  I am only selling them (at my wifes direction) to reduce my collection - and these count as two!
