My Belgium-based friend Werner Ogiers sent a brand new, screw-down spindle and bearing as a thank-you gift from the gone-too-soon J.A.Michell for the photographs as seen here, which are of the exact one-owner piece for sale here: Simply put "Kurt Wolf Gyro SE" in google and click on the first item for the photos of my table. It was factory-drilled as two-armed bandit, but of course it can run one arm as well. Werner and I had fun, but as he is now Michell's "official" webmaster, he has a much improved version which includes professional photos of _all_ things Gyro from J.A.Michell!
I also have a Moerch DP-6 for special purchases such as this one, currently priced by t all means, of course, an additional charge. But instead of you are able to choose from the 9" green-dot or the 12" red-dot arms. The 12" arm, is now selling exclusively by Sora Sounds ( U.S Distributor) for $6,000. Yet the 12" arm is available free with my package price.
NOTE: The 12" arm is often especially notable for the its ability to trace those nasty "TUTTI" events at the completion, or coda, that permeates so much of music!I The goal is to minimize "Inner Groove Distortion" due to mistracking.

Low contact area feet: The solid aluminium feet of the turntable are shaped so the area in contact with the supporting surface is very small, this is done to minimize the transfer of vibrations from the supporting furniture into the turntable.

Three point spring suspension system: Three suspension towers are fixed to the acrylic base to hold the suspension springs in place and provide height adjustment for the sub chassis.

Weighted pendulum style sub chassis: Hanging on the three suspension springs, this provides a rigid dense platform to mount the main bearing, platter and tonearm assembly, ensuring there is no movement between them, while also acting as a ‘resonance / vibration sink’ drawing away unwanted vibrations from the sensitive elements of the turntable.

Inverted oil circulating main bearing: Contrary to traditional designs, our main bearing has the point of rotation at the top of the assembly, not at the bottom. Impedance-matched platter with solid brass weights: The platter material was chosen for its vibration and dampening characteristics and because sonically it is a very similar material to vinyl, so it has a very neutral sound characteristic. The brass weights are added to give the platter extra mass and subsequently more momentum when spinning. This greatly improves speed stability and helps keep wow and flutter to a minimum.

Free standing motor unit: The motor unit used to drive the turntable is completely separate to the turntable, meaning it doesn’t touch the turntable in anyway. The only connection between the motor and the turntable is the drive belt that drives the platter. This stops any noise or vibrations created when the motor is running, getting through to the sensitive parts of the turntable. This one requires a new miniature motor spindler/spinner, available now directly from Michell). Again, do know that my package price is the same regardless of which armwand you choose.
