Selling my Rega Elicit R due to having new very efficient speakers and tube amp. The Rega Elicit R is in very good condition including remote and power cord. Please read all the reviews. What HIFI Amp of the year. I have used it mostly with my old B&W speakers, the amp has very nice tone, detail especially in the midrange, lots of grunt in the base, sweet but sparkly treble. No scratches, marks etc on the amp nor remote as you can see in the photos. It has not been serviced, it works great. I don’t have the original box nor the manual but I will download it from Rega and add it and I will package the amp very well. Can also pick up if in the area.
Questions for the seller |
---|
How long have you owned this? First owner? I bought it as a demo about six years ago. Thanks |
Are you the original owner?? Do you all the accessories including manual,
THE AMP IS RATED 72 RMS That seems a bit on the light side and wimpy.
What is your opinion of the overall sound with such medium power??
What speakers did you use with it
Thank you,
Jim Hi Jim,
I got it as a demo about 6 years ago. I have all the accessories except the original manual I can’t find it so I printed it from the Rega website so I have that. Don’t focus too much on the rated RMS, the amp has some nice grunt but I don’t think it’s made to drive 2 ohm loads, I used it with Triangle Cometes, B&W CDM 7 NT and Devore Fidelity Gibbon 88 beautifully. The amp is fast with a lovely rich natural tone, very detailed especially in the midrange. It has this really nice sweetness but at the same time it’s vivid and detailed with good base. It has a simulated class A line stage and it runs pretty warm. It also has a direct input I used with my tube preamp and that worked nicely. There’s a good review of this amp on the WHAT HIFI website. Let me know know if you have any other questions. Hope that helps. Thanks |
