Pro-ject calls the T1 an "Audiophile Entry Level Turntable".  Despite the low price, it's amazingly well-engineered.  From its CNC machined, anti-resonant, MDF plinth, to its zero-resonance glass platter, the T1 is designed to bring out the music in your collection.  Add to this the belt-driven platter, an ultra-precise 0.001mm main bearing with hardened steel axle and brass bushing.  The real key is a good tonearm.  No skimping here either.  The lightweight, hollow aluminum tube tonearm sports an Ortofon OM 5E moving magnet cartridge.

The Phono SB adds an electronic speed control for easy speed changes and the onboard phono stage so you can connect it to any stereo input, even one without a phone input.  All you need is an Aux, CD, Etc input.

It comes ready to use and you’ll be listening to beautiful music in minutes after unboxing.
