Galibier Design Gavia

This rare Galibier Design Gavia was received in trade.

On average, we see one Mk I Gavia every 12 months, but this is the first one we've received in over two years.

Note:  the annotated photo is of the currently available Gavia.  The remaining photos show previous turntables, to demonstrate finishing options. 

We would grade the cosmetics as a 7/10 - 8/10.

We carry tonearms from 8 designers and 7 cartridge manufacturers - including Kuzma, Schröder, Durand, and much more.

This turntable is in the process of being re-manufactured to functionally, new condition:

1. Bearing rebuild to 2022 standard
2. Current drive system, complete with Teddy Pardo power supply.

Additionally, we have an a la carte list of options we can make for you based on your preferences.  The upgrades include:

1. Refinishing to your specification.
2. Machine Mk 1.5 tonearm cavity for compatibility with Mk 1.5 armboards.
3. Replace graphite TPI top layer with carbon fiber.

Note that the carbon fiber TPI top plate is sonically equivalent to the current graphite top plate.  This is a cosmetic change, and not a functional one.
