Pickering XSV 3000

Selling at a loss, as the included syluses were more than $200, and have no more than a couple of hours each on them. But there are too many great cartridges in my collection, and a few must go. 

This is one of the truly great ones. For many MM aficionados, this is the Holy Grail of light-tracking cartridges, and performs at a surprisingly high level, very close to my beloved Grace F9e and Micro-Acoustics 3002. This lovely cartridge comes with the original locking nuts and headshell screws. I'm including two after-market D3000 styli from LPGear, one black, one white. There's one brush assembly. Wish I had the original stylus for this, but if I did, the price wouldn't be so good. And these aftermarket styli are actually really very close to the originals in sound. 

Read the multiple reviews in the Vinyl Engine database for this cartridge. It is so loved because it is really great: deep and clear bass, liquid midrange and really clean extended highs. Soundstage is spectacularly wide and instrument placement precise. And it is fast: not quite Micro-Acoustics fast, but really close. And it tracks everything at 1.25 grams, and almost everything at a mere .75 grams. I love this cartridge, but I have too many, and I have another one that still has the original stylus: you'll have to pry that one from my cold dead hands...;)
