“The Vivid Oval V1.5 was astonishingly good -- the kind of good that takes seconds, rather than days or weeks, to differentiate itself from the sounds of mere pretenders.
I suppose the best word for the V1.5’s sound is fast. It had such vicious pace and ease, was so light on its aluminum feet, that it easily outclassed every other speaker I’ve spent time with in my listening room.

My Description: Perfectly performing, yet cosmetically flawed in places.
The pencil-sized mark on each speaker & one speaker's minor dent were there from the beginning, but I didn't care about the cosmetics and bought them anyway. If it weren't for the one speaker's visible dent in the cap, I'd rate them an easy "Good."

I HAVE HARDLY PUT ANY HOURS ON THEM (except to compare them to my original speakers in a high-end audio shop and found I was partial toward my 1st pair of speakers). 
This model is the basic model on the Vivid line, but I understand the parts are the same as with the upper-tier models (obviously, you get 'more' of that same quality with the upper-tier models).
No covers or 'grills' are available from the manufacturer or a dealer--I've already inquired. The cosmetic flaws must be accepted 'as is.'

Pricing  is lowered to $2,700--less than one-third of current retail; pick-up is required at this price
