For sale is a Pioneer Spec rack system that includes a Pioneer Spec-2 Stereo Power Amplifier with a newly replaced 24v relay, Pioneer Spec-1 Rack Mount Stereo Pre-Amplifier, Pioneer SG-9500 Ten Band Stereo Graphic Equalizer, Pioneer TX-9500 AM/FM Stereo Analogue Tuner, & Pioneer RT-901 Reel To Reel Tape Recorder, all on an original Pioneer rack. The RT-901 has been recently serviced, cleaned, lubricated, aligned and demagnetized. The transport mechanism was overhauled and an FRX belt and two pinch roller tires were replaced. This system and rack can be purchased without the RT-901 Reel to Reel for $3,899.00
All of these items are in great condition. Our tech has gone through each piece of gear and confirmed they are all in proper working order. Cosmetically, all of the items in this rack are in great shape for the age of the pieces. The only piece with a large blemish is the preamp that has a gouge above the bass control. There may be a couple of other small blemishes on some parts of the rack but they don't take away from the general appearance. Overall, this rack is an incredible HiFi system that can be enjoyed for years to come.
*The JBL L100 Speakers are not included in this system, but are available for purchase separately.*
Pioneer Spec-2
Stereo Power Amplifier (1976-80)
The Spec-2 is a 250W rack mount stereo power amplifier featuring a current limiter circuit, peak level meters, protection circuit, power switch on/off and impedance selector muting and a temperature detector. This high power design employs a cascaded differential amplifier first stage, push-pull drive, and darlington triple push-pull circuit with all stages direct coupled (OCL).

Pioneer Spec-1
Rack Mount Stereo Pre-Amplifier (1976-80)
The Spec-1 has differential amplifier circuitry incorporated in the equalization and tone control amplifiers. This is complemented by a dual positive and negative power supply system for all amplifier sections, which provides improved DC balance and stability, while eliminating click noises due to switching. An electronic muting circuit, employing a reed relay, blocks surge noise associated with power switch operation.

Pioneer SG-9500
Ten Band Stereo Graphic Equalizer (1976-79)
The complex control functions of the Pioneer SG-9500 are not limited merely to the equalization of a simple program source, but can also provide precise tone corrections for the playback equipment (turntable and tape deck), speakers and listening room. Musical program sources can also be modified to improve the sound of technically inferior recordings or to tailor them to suit your personal taste. The SG-9500 is a highly versatile audio component.

Pioneer TX-9500
AM/FM Stereo Analogue Tuner (1975-79)
Inside it's one of the most circuit-packed AM/FM tuners Pioneer have ever built. And outside it's one of the cleanest and most simple to use. The Pioneer TX-9500 has a new streamlined look, logically-arranged switches and controls, and a scientifically-designed tuning system that makes it all look so easy. But it's what's inside that counts: dual-gate MOS FETs and a 5-gang variable capacitor boost FM front end sensitivity to a superb 1.5uV (IHF). The FM IF has 7 ICs with differential amps, 4 ceramic filters (with 2 elements each) and a wide-band linear detector to pinpoint selectivity at 85dB or better and beef up the capture ratio to 1.0dB (IHF). Even in stereo the S/N is a super high 75dB, with total harmonic distortion of 0.2% at 1KHz. Thanks to the PLL MPX (phase lock loop multiplex) demodulator, stereo separation stretches to a wide 35dB over the 50 to 10,000Hz range. Stability? Even in signal-weak or signal-strong areas your station comes in clean and fresh. Planning to record off the air? Hit the switch for the built-in 440Hz test signal generator and check the output level against your deck's VUs for optimum adjustment before the music begins.

Pioneer RT-901
Reel To Reel Tape Recorder (1980-81)
The Pioneer RT-901 is a 3-motor, 3-head stereo tape deck.
-hifiengine.com
The RT-901 was produced from 1979 until 1984 , with 3 heads and a closed-loop dual capstan drive system that isolated the tape at the heads from any external interference, resulting in a constant tape-to-head contact. Rack-mountable and designed to take 10½ ”reels, Pioneer also produced an auto reverse model, the RT-909. The combination of ultramodern appearance and very decent sound quality combined to make the RT-909 a winner for pioneer and to a lesser degree, the 901 which was not that much less expensive than the 909. Relative to similar Teac or Akai models, the 901 has a very deep rich bass sound quality. Independent microphone and line mixing inputs, Azimuth adjustments for the heads, Fluroscan meter, 4 digit tape counter, Timer start switch.
