I have for sale a Bricasti M3H Dac with headphone outputs, LAN for streaming and remote control. It is in mint condition and comes from a smoke, child, and pet free home. I purchased it new from an authorized dealer in August of 2022. It has the latest MDX board 1.11 as you can see in the picture. I used it to drive my MEZE Elite headphones which I am also selling. The headphone amp will even drive the Susvara headphones! I am selling off most of my system hence the sale. The dac works perfectly and has a superb analog volume control. It is a one box solution for headphones since you can also stream using this dac. Please let me know if you have questions. Insured shipping is $75.There are many superlative reviews of this piece. Asking $4995 or best offer plus shipping.

From Stereo Times:

I auditioned numerous Delta-Sigma DACs before that had impressed me, but not “charmed” me the way that the R2R ladder NOS tubed based DACs had in my system. The M3 is the first Delta-Sigma solid-state DAC that not only charmed me but also bedazzled me in ways that I would never have believed, based on my past experiences with Delta-Sigma DACs, until I heard it in my system!

If you only use a digital front end and do not need more inputs, you could quickly eliminate the cost of a reference preamplifier and be assured you are getting a terrific volume control that does not take a back seat to high-level preamplifiers. The remote volume control is a piece of art in its own right. The construction is at the level of the DAC. It’s built out of aluminum and feels just right the way it fits into your hand. It changes volumes in 1dB increments with a precise flow that is easy to control.

Was I impressed with the Bracasti Design M3 DAC? Indeed, after exploring all its potential in my system, the M3 certainly won me over to a very high degree. What I had gotten out of my other DACs that are the most important listening priorities in my system, gorgeous timbre, color density, and full “meaty” three-dimensional imaging, were taken to an even higher level with the M3 DAC. Then add on a sense of unlimited dynamics, speed, and aliveness, total transparency with all the smallest micro-details on display, and exceptional spatial abilities regarding the size and placement of the individual instruments on realistic soundstages, all rendered in an overall grain-less silky-smooth organic presentation. Finally, the build quality and top-notch engineering that is also part of what Bricasti Design brings to all its equipment is the cherry on top of this world-class reference DAC. With what I just shared in my review this leaves me with one more task. Trying to figure out how I’m going to fit the purchase of the M3 into my budget because I don’t want it to leave my system!

From Moon Audio:
What is the sound signature and how does it stack up to the competition? The M3H easily drives the most demanding headphones on the market. We have put it to the test with the Hifiman Susvara & HE6, Sennheiser HD800 and just about every planer dynamic headphone from Audeze and Meze. It has little problem with control of demanding drivers. The Susvara is one of the hardest and the M3H provides adequate power for the bulk of the market. Bar the guys that like to make their eardrums bleed. The Voltage rails do a very good job of controlling the high impedance swing of the Sennheiser HD800.

From HiFi Pig:
The biggest difference initially heard whilst critically listening to these two DACs side by side was a more heavily fleshed out and richer top end, more three-dimensionality within the image set and an overall more mature tonal palette. The M3 has a purity of tone that is really quite remarkable, closer to that of a good valve based piece of equipment, but clearly still solid state. It doesn’t have the warmer character of a valve unit but it gives that conciseness of a note, with liquidity and naturalness.

As a stand-alone unit, the M3 is a masterclass all of its own. A single unit on a desk with a set of active speakers and a pair of headphones, with a NAS located somewhere in the home or office is actually all that one would need to enjoy the beauty of the Bricasti sound – so I did, I set it up just like that!

To sum up the sonic signature of the Bricasti M3, I’d say it has an extremely wide bandwidth and high resolution. It has an analogue quality and a purity of tone which I have not previously heard in a transistor-based DAC – the other competitors I mentioned that would rival its sound are all valve and far more expensive and within its price range I’d struggle to find anything to better the M3. The Briscati is incredibly expressive dynamically, has detail in spades and is so spatial that the realism of performances keeps surprising me still now. The M3 doesn’t just create great music, it creates experiences and has shown me, that even now, after all this time, there’s more to be had from my system.

Questions for the seller
If it is that good why are you selling it ?
Thank you for your inquiry on my Bricasti M3H dac. My reason for selling so quickly is quite simple. I sold my speakers, subs cables etc., this year to go to an all headphone system. I bought a set of Meze Elite headphones which by the way I also have for sale. I bought these based on the many superlative reviews extolling their sound and most importantly comfort. I needed a headphone dac/amp to use them connected to my Rockna server. So, the Bricasti fit the bill perfectly. It sounds superb as one of the if not the best dac that I have owned. It is also great in that it is a server which is Roon ready. The problem was that the Meze's while very comfortable and great sounding, they made my ears hot. Since I listen for several hours a day, this was a serious problem. I thought that maybe when the weather cooled that maybe they would be better as we keep our home cooler in the winter that the summer. However, my ears just get too hot. So, I am selling my dac and headphones after a short period of ownership.
