Thrax Teres

Selling a like new pair of Thrax Teres mono amplifiers. These amps utilize a transformer coupled hybrid design with the rugged C3G tube as a single ended tube input stage loaded with a phase splitting transformer controlling 2 separate single ended out of phase single ended amplifiers for output. They produce 250 watts into 8 ohms. I'm not an engineer but what this hybrid technology produced is the 3 dimensional sound stage of tubes with the power to drive any speaker. They are incredibly detailed with precise imaging and a very deep layer and wide sound stage. 

I purchased them from an authorized dealer. They were his show demos and had been to only a couple of shows. I have put about 250 hours on them. I have moved to the Fleetwood Devilles and I don't need this much power. I had to decide to keep either my Dartzeel NHB-108 or these. There are many things they do better than the Dartzeel particularly image focus, soundstage, and inner detail; however, for the Devilles I thinkt the Dartzeel is a marginally better match. Unfortunately I can't keep both. 

These are not as widely known in the US but share many of the design similarities as the Ypsilon Hyperion at a fraction of the price. I'm not saying they are Hyperions but they are darn close as a friend of mine has a pair of Hyperions.

These will ship in their original factory crates on a pallet for safe travel. Each amp weighs about 55 pounds but consistent with their high level of build quality they are shipped in individual crates.
