Erhard Audio Nina II - Tape Head Preamp

For sale in great condition is the Erhard Audio Nina II Tape Head Preamplifier. The Nina II was designed in partnership with tube circuit guru Ray Waters. Erhard Audio worked with Ray on the Nina II circuit to make it really quite unique, in that it uses a JFET & MOSFET cascode input section, followed by a CCS-loaded gain stage terminated with a direct-coupled cathode follower, using the 6922/6DJ8 or equivalent tubes.

The Nina II, with its hybrid design has an extremely low noise floor level and adds the ability to customize the sound you want by rolling the tubes. It is in this one area, that the Nina II to truly outshines the rest in using the 6922 and all the equivalent tubes to produce extraordinarily refined and detailed sound that can be tune to your liking by going with NOS or brand new tubes.

As an extremely versatile tape head preamplifier, the Nina II uses both world standard playback EQ’s, NAB as well as IEC. The NAB 7.5/15IPS, IEC 7.5IPS and IEC15IPS. The EQ’s are selectable via the front panel rotary selector switch, allowing you to set the playback to the best sounding equalization.
