I bought these new in 2008. At the time, I was using Kimber Hero ICs. Audio guy said "Take 'em home and AB them with the Heros." I did. I then wrote a check, they are that good.
I have just this month switched to AP's Silver ICs, as part of a major system upgrade. In 2019, I removed them to have work done on my CD player. One of the Solo Crystal locking RCA connectors was on too tight & I tore the rubber sheathing at the base of the connector (see pic), trying to loosen it up. It has nothing to do with the sound quality. Just appearance. I continued using them in my system until this month. They sound fabulous.
I will cover shipping in AP factory boxes & snugly packed.
