These are spectacular. The mids and highs are as liquid and wonderful as some of the best class A I have heard, good bass, solid, tight, accurate. They are rated at 35 watts but play very loud as class A has lower distortion.
They are compact and cute as hell looking. Both will easily fit on one audio shelf. I had them on maple blocks. Excellent heavy duty construction. Thick metal casing. Condition good, rated for age.
White Audio Labs (and later Llano Audio Labs as they are the same designer and subsequent company) in the late 90's, was a company that was very well received at the audio shows as a great design and great sounding product. A triumph of value for the money.
Calibrated for inflation and the initial bargain price, these would easily sell for between $2,000 and $3,000 today. Almost never seen on the used market (trust me, I tried).
They were introduced for a bargain price to break in to the market, but the company went out of business, I assume, because of management issues.
I bought them to temporarily replace my $12,000 behemoth Parasound JC-1 monoblocs when they were being repaired, but ended preferring the White Audio amps.
Selling only because I found a used pair of the Llano monoblocs which sound identical but are rated at 80 watts.
Prefer local sale, if possible, but I have box.
