Yamaha M-5000

Calling all Yamaha fans! 

Selling my M-5000 to pursue mono blocks. The amp is operationally and cosmetically perfect. I am the original owner. Purchased new in March 2021 from Music Direct and this amp is a powerhouse. Rated conservatively at 100W into 8 ohms, it doubles down to 200 watts at 4 ohms.

The hallmark of this amp in my opinion is grip and control. It delivers current in a way that seems effortless. The casework is just gorgeous. I also think the Yamaha slogan of "Natural Sound" is accurate. This is an amp you will want to display prominently. 

I've had a few speakers during my time with this amp but mostly used Focal Kanta No.2's and that was a wonderful match. The M-5000 drove the Kanta 2's very convincingly in a large room and rarely did the peak meters approach the limit. 

Lastly, a great feature of this amp is A/B speaker terminals. This allows for true bi-wiring or use of two sets of speakers. I like this feature. 

Happy to demo this to a local buyer or facetime a non-local buyer. I have the original packaging, power cord, manual, etc.
