Presumably if you are considering this purchase, you know exactly what this cartridge is, but here's a little bit about it anyway - it is a moving iron design, exclusive to SoundSmith.  It is a low-output cartridge, so if you have a moving coil phono preamp, you will be able to use it, even though it's a fundamentally different design philosophy, with some real advantages over MC.

The sound is at once lovely and revealing. It is far more clean and clear than anything else I've heared in my stereo. 

Somebody asked about the suspension. I inquired with SoundSmith today and they informed me, "The suspension gets checked during the evaluation. If there is something wrong with the suspension the rebuild is not done and the cartridge is deemed un-repairable. The suspension in your cartridge was fine."

This is my final price reduction. If nobody wants it at this price, I will just keep it once the listing expires.
