Excellent condition, conservatively rated, essentially like new condition - comes with original box, manual and remote.

Liquid HiFi is selling this preamp on consignment for one of our VIP clients, who graciously offered to assist should there ever be a warranty issue during the remaining time on the 5 year warranty period (highly unlikely but cool to know just in case).  Preamp was purchased from an authorized Chord dealer in Aug of 2021 so it is only 19 months old at this time.

The Chord Ultima 2 is often the last stop on the high end preamp journey, but this client wanted the best of the best so he upgraded to a CH Precision preamp costing over 2x what this one did brand new.

Ultimately this is a world class preamp and one of the biggest bang for the buck solid state preamps in all of HiFi.

Forming part of the company’s flagship Reference range, the new ULTIMA PRE 2 benefits from a substantially larger chassis than the company’s standard preamps and features the latest proprietary ultra-high-frequency power supply and ultra-low-noise circuitry, delivering an incredible noise floor performance of below -130dB. Highly flexible for today’s high-end audio systems, the new ULTIMA PRE 2 offers four pairs of fully balanced inputs, four pairs of unbalanced inputs, plus two completely independent record loops. Each input has six levels of gain which can be individually selected to prevent large changes in volume when switching between inputs; all settings are microprocessor-stored, even when the power is removed.
