Galileo SX Ethernet cables were designed around a brand new UEF Filter featuring Graphene and a special UEF Tech first developed for our award winning Blue Fuses to eliminate digital noise through an inductive process that takes place outside the signal path. UEF Graphene Shielding is now applied in a new Matrix Grid pattern for a striking lowering of your system’s overall noise floor so you hear detail and dynamics in the most holographic soundscape of any Ethernet cable in Synergistic Research history. We upgraded the UEF Ground Plane with new UEF Blue Fuse technology and treated the entire cable to a new UEF Blue Fuse treatment that both increases overall cable performance as it lowers the time necessary for cable burn in. Lastly the outer shield of the cable can be attached to ground with an included ground plug or can be attached to an optional SR Passive Ground Block or our SR Active Ground Block for a dramatic increase in overall system performance. And with new Gold and Silver UEF Tuning Circuits that change the yin and yang of the digital cable from detailed to liquid you can custom match them to your system and taste or try them without, the choice is yours.

“I’ve been using various generations of Synergistic Research interconnects, cables, and power cords since Ted Denney first introduced his original ultra-complex, ultra-expensive Galileo line about a decade ago. There is a simple reason for this: With a first-rate source and first-rate system, Synergistic Galileo UEF allows playback to sound more like the real thing more often than most of the other wires I’ve auditioned (regardless of how much they cost). There are, doubtlessly, technical reasons for Galileo’s UEF’s audible superiority, and I’ll come to them (or what is claimed about them) anon. But I want to start with a case in point that, for those of you who know my listening biases, may say more than all the mumbo-jumbo cable-makers (including Synergistic) shovel out there and expect you to swallow. As most of you know I was and am an analog devotee. I don’t listen to digital, save for the occasional review, because good digital doesn’t sound as much like the real thing to me as good vinyl. However, this long-standing bias has recently been diminished. I’m not going to attribute this transformation strictly to Denney’s Galileo UEF interconnect, cable, power cords, and PowerCell 12 UEF SE  power conditioner—that would be a considerable overreach. No, the primary difference here is the source— SB’s Reference DAC (souped-up with MSB’s Mono Power Base and it’s Femto 33 clock). This is the most lifelike digital source I’ve heard since the dCS stack I reviewed many moons ago. Indeed, from Red Book to MQA  streaming this is the most lifelike digital source I’ve auditioned in my home. But…the MSB gear is at its finest with the Synergistic Galileo UEF bundle (and I’ve tried a number of other interconnects and cables in Galileo  EF’s stead).

It’s a funny thing about realism in audio playback. You don’t really need experience or expertise to discern it, although you may need both to explain it. It’s just there—immediately and unmistakably. When I  played the Synergistic  / Constellation / Soulution / MSB / Magico system for a friend who designs other very fine loudspeakers, electronics, and cables, his jaw dropped. “I’ve never really liked Magicos,” said he, looking more than a little disconcerted, “but this is unbelievable.” And indeed it was (and is). Even a Red Book CD, like Harry  Connick, Jr.’s We Are In Love (from the Digital Dark Ages around 1990) sounded so much like Connick’s real voice (and Branford Marsalis’ real tenor sax) on “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square” that it sent a thrill of pleasure and recognition up my back (and my friend’s)."
