Nottingham Analogue Spacedeck Turntable + Spacearm/Wave Mechanic/Heavy Kit - Rare Package On Preowned Market

It's very rare to ever find a preowned Spacedeck for sale in the US with the Wave Mechanic power supply and Heavy Kit upgrades in a single package. So here's your chance to have a fully specced Spacedeck, with the outstanding sonic performance that Nottingham Analogue is world famous for.

I've been a Nottingham Analogue fanatic for about 20 years now and the only reason for the sale of this wonderful Spacedeck is that I have recently been lucky enough to acquire a Dais. While the Dais is a couple of steps up from the Spacedeck, having both the Wave Mechanic and Heavy Kit absolutely brings one very much closer to the performance of the Dais. I could still be totally happy with it, but I hardly need to explain the need to move ever onwards and upwards to the Audiogon community.

Also includes the excellent 9" Spacearm, with no cartridge. Setup is relatively simple and fairly intuitive and I will be including the Nottingham installation instructions in the package and, if you wish, I'll happily electronically send the instructions ahead of the arrival of the turntable, so you can get prepared and up and running as fast as possible.

I think the Spacedeck is a giant in its class. It's significant, I feel that, once someone buys a Nottingham deck, they'll either stick with their purchase for the long run or stay loyal to the brand as they upgrade. That's exactly my situation and has been since the early/mid 2000s (I've owned this current Spacedeck rig for about five years).

The Wave Mechanic, which retails new for $1395 plus tax and shipping if applicable, does not come with a strobe kit in this sale, but these are easily available from all the usual outlets, or you may indeed already own one (any brand with a 33/45rpm speed ring is fine). The Wave Mechanic gives a clean, stable power supply to eliminate those nasty AC fluctuations and enables you to fine tune the speed to the nth degree, with very positive audible results.

The Heavy Kit is made up of a 1" thick graphite pad which makes up for the top mat of the Hyperspace, Dais and Deco. It also comes with the spacers needed to raise the arm height. The Heavy kit increases the rotating mass and stability of the system and also improves resonance control. It creates a wonderful dark and silent background and also enhances overall resolution, imaging and soundstaging. It retails for $1295 new, plus tax and shipping if applicable.
