This amp is a one-of-one masterclass in the intelligent design and execution of a parallel 300B 18w single ended amplifier. Serial numbers 03.4SE and 04.4 SE

These bespoke cost-no-object $125,000 retail Ypsilon parallel single ended 300b amplifiers are upgraded with silver wire wound transformers, silver wiring, milled Teflon and beryllium copper sockets, top line WBT binding posts, an interconnect pass thru feature to accommodate subwoofers and a custom ordered 205d input tube to lower the gain and noise floor. A pair of NOS Western Electric 205D input tubes are included. The "holy grail" built to last. The finest low power triode tube ever made. The current market price for a pair is $6,000 at Tube Depot. The remaining tube compliment is NOS Mullard GZ 34 and EZ 81 regulation and rectifier tubes, Psvane 205D input tubes and two sets of Psvane 300b T-Mk 2 tubes. The tube compliment included would cost an additional $8,000 to replicate.

These amplifiers are the perfect match for all high efficiency loudspeakers and the ultimate expression of the Ypsilon's mastery in transformer winding fitted into a 90 pound milled aluminum chassis.

The amps are book matched - that is mirror imaged for symmetry in cable connections.  The XLR input is there for secure connection and is a single ended source, not a balanced source. However, a balanced source can also be connected to them.  Finally, there is a pass through connection (to connect) external subs essentially direct to the preamp but through the amps in order not to run two pairs of long interconnect cables if equipment is placed on the side or the back of the room.

The amplifiers are in beautiful condition. The first owner is a discerning audio perfectionist.

There is nothing near this price that will sonically approach this amplifier when paired sensibly with a suitable speaker. In fact, I know of two price no object. And both prominently utilize Ypsilon silver wire inductors or output transformers -- in my experience, the de facto best extant

Note: as trade-ins, I've owned the following amps in direct descending order of sonics:

1. Audio Note Japan. The 845 Gaku-On. The best amp the great Mr. Kondo ever built IMO.
2. Lamm ML3. By far the most linear and uncolored. Vladimir's best amp. And relatively high power for an SET.
3. Audio Note Japan (post Mr. Kondo) 211 Kagura. Too colored by the 211 tube. But beautiful tonally and texturally.
4. Audio Note UK built 211 Ongaku. A very distant, underwhelming and grossly overpriced fourth.

Bottomline: in my “hands on” personal experience, none are direct competition to this Ypsilon bespoke amplifier.

I will not consider trades or a price reduction. Thank you for your interest and do not hesitate to call me directly to discuss.
