Up for sale is a fully restored Trio KA-8100 integrated amplifier. This is a 100VAC Japanese model and included with this amplifier, is a 1000W step down transformer.
So what does fully restored mean? It means that:
* ALL resistors were upgraded
* ALL capacitors were upgraded (main filter caps increased from 6,800uF to 10,000uF)
* ALL diodes were replaced and in some cases, upgraded
* New protection relay
* Most all transistors were replaced except for outputs, JFETs and dual transistors
* A fuse holder (and new fuse) was added to replace soldered in fuse
* All controls were given the prerequisite Deoxit treatment
* Cover shot with Krylon Fusion, All-In-One, Hammered Black paint
If you can find a better sounding Trio KA-8100/Kenwood KA-601, buy it...but you won't find one.
