I bought this new about 4 years ago and it's worked like a charm ever since. I have 4 different Squeezebox players, but with a recent move, I only need 3. Lately I tend to access my collection from a phone or computer, so I feel the cool controls on the Transporter are going to waste.
I think my wife may have tossed the original box in my recent move (against my pleading!) but I'll double check -- for the purposes of this sale, it's better to assume it will come in a 3rd party box (but double boxed and well packed).
Also comes with remote control, but I'm sure I tossed the manual ages ago. I'll describe the condition as 8/10 -- when I carefully look at various angles with indirect light, I can see very faint swirls in the plastic where fingers have touched over the years, but they're not really scratches. There are a couple of minor scratches on the sides, now that I look, but I had never noticed them before. All in all it looks very nice.
I've never had any problems with the functioning of the unit itself. I've used it with and without my Monarchy NM24 tube DAC, and I found the Transporter's DAC is not bad at all -- it sounds different from the NM24, but not necessarily worse. By the way, if you're interested in this DAC, I'll be putting it up as well.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Frank
