Magnepan Tympani IVa Ribbon Tweeters

Pair of very good condition Magnepan Tympani IVa's. These speakers don't come up for sale very often. Manufactured in the mid 80's. Second owner. New tweeters two years ago. No voice coil delamination, or buzzes. Oak Rails, black socks. One of the bass Panel socks has a small 1/2" diameter hole, but remaining socks are in very good condition.

These are one of Magnepan's finest speakers and has appeared on most all "Best Speakers Ever" list, Many agree that the Tympani IVa surpass the performance of the 3.6R at a fraction of the cost.

Original boxes and manuals included. The original Crossovers were sold to a fellow AGoner a few years back as I was Biamping them (Krell KSA-50 and an ICEpower amp), but have since built new crossovers per the original schematics using much better coils and polypropylene capacitors. I also have the Magnepan XO-1 Biamping Crossover (goes between the preamp output and the Low and High Frequency Amps) that I will include in sale.

I can ship, but would prefer local pickup. I also have my ICEPower Amp (1000W @ 4Ohm) for sale - separate listing - that will properly drive these bass panels. The Bass Panels really need good clean power to sound their best.

I am located in South West suburb of Chicago, and will be available to audition the speakers.
