"For the past 50 or so years, Frederick Fennell has probably been the "Best Friend" that collectors of band music in general and marches specifically could ever have imagined! Starting with monaural LP's in the 1950's, such as Marches For Twirling and British Band Classics with the incomparable Eastman Wind Ensemble, which he himself founded, Dr. Fennell has consistently set the standard for march recordings, and has been a tireless champion for wind ensembles as a serious musical medium." - D.E.T.

Terrific sound. Dynamic, detailed and natural. The Bass is deep, the mids are smooth and the high's are transparent. Instruments are highly detailed with 'air' and presence surrounding them. The soundstage is wide and deep and has pin-point imaging. Dynamic range is huge.
Surface noise is limited to 'hiss' on extremely quiet passages and the occasional low-level, random 'tick'.
Each record is washed on a VPI cleaning machine using a proprietary 3-5 agent process which is determined by the needs of the individual record. Each record is then listened to 100% to insure that the posted description is exactly what you can expect to get.
