Mark Levinson 436 Monoblock Amplifiers

I am the second owner of these wonderful amplifiers. They were made in 2001, I bought them in 2006. They work flawlessly and sound incredible (driving Thiel 7.2s). There are two small issues that I need to mention. 1. There is a small blemish on the underside of one of the silver front panels. You can feel a rough area but can barely see this defect. I have shown it in one of the photos. 2. The rear panels of the units are slightly different, although they are consecutive serial numbers. In 2006 when I bought these through Audiogon, one of the amps was not working. This was my introduction to Audiogon and was not so happy. Fortunately they were under warranty and Mark Levinson was still doing warranty work for non-original owners so I sent the unit to the factory and they replaced a circuit board for no cost. With this repair they also updated the rear panel with the current PHAST connections. So one Amp has the original rear panel and one has the updated 2006 version. This will make no difference at all unless you want to use the PHAST connections. I am pricing these amps very aggressively as they do have some age on them and I am not the original owner. I don't think you will find a better deal on 436s. You will be getting a fabulous set of amps at about 1/3 of the original price. $4300 for both! They are quite heavy and are packed in pallet boxes that are about 120lbs each packed. I do not think that fedex or ups will take these pallet boxes but I can check. They probably will need to be shipped by freight shipping and the buyer will be responsible for shipping costs. I would prefer local pickup or meeting somewhere a few hours outside of Baltimore MD so that we can avoid having to ship these. I will accept paypal but buyer will be responsible for fees.
