Mark Levinson No. 23 Power Amplifier – Rarely Used

For sale is a Mark Levinson No. 23 Power Amplifier. As the original owner, I purchased new in 1990, used intermittently for 5 years and then stored. In 2000 the Amplifier was installed in a 2nd sound system but has remained virtually unused. The Levinson No. 23 is built to the highest standards and is known for its sonic beauty, musicality and dynamic range. Its warmth and transparency are quite extraordinary.

This No. 23 dual monaural amplifier is in wonderful condition, electronically and sonically and the front, top and back of the unit are virtually without blemish (there is a tiny mar on one front handle). A few of the side heatsinks have become faded and are no longer jet black (see photos). This was due to being stored where the sun shined on the heatsinks several months a year and was not caused, as is often the case, by use in poor ventilation. Because of the aesthetic considerations, I am offering this audio classic at a lowered price.

The amplifier has been thoroughly cleaned and tested and sounds wonderful.

Included are three CAMAC to RCA input adaptors (one spare - CAMACs were considered superior to RCA by ML/Madrigal), two new XLR connectors if these are preferred, and the original manual.

A new shipping box was just purchased from Madrigal ($240!) for safe shipment.
